Special Edition, Gold Polestar 1 Plug-in Hybrids To Feature Öhlins DFV Dampers

Upplands Väsby, Sweden, June 30, 2021 – Buyers of the 25 special edition “gold” versions of the Polestar 1 performance plug-in hybrid will be treated to world-class ride and handling delivered by adjustable suspension dampers from Ӧhlins Racing, a Tenneco (NYSE: TEN) business. Adjustable Ӧhlins DFV (Dual Flow Valve) S46 dampers have been standard equipment on the Polestar 1 since its launch in 2019.

Polestar recently announced that its final run of the vehicle will include a limited number of cars featuring matte gold exterior paint, matching brake calipers and interior gold stitching. The cars’ dampers, thanks to the Ӧhlins brand’s signature gold color, will complement these other enhancements.

By providing enhanced control in both compression and rebound, the dampers allow a vehicle’s tires to maintain exceptional grip and traction, resulting in a more responsive and enjoyable ride.

In addition to the Polestar 1, Ӧhlins DFV dampers are available in the optional performance pack for the Polestar 2 all-electric performance fastback.
