Öhlins Expands Presence in MXGP Racing Through Strategic Relationship with JWR Honda Team

Upplands Väsby, Sweden, February 8, 2022 – Öhlins Racing, already one of the most visible brands in motorcycle racing, is expanding its presence in MXGP competition through a strategic relationship with Johan Westermark Racing (JWR). The 2022 MXGP Motocross World Championship series will feature 21 rounds of competition, kicking off February 20 with MXGP of Great Britain at England’s Matterley Basin.

The JWR team will include three series veterans – Seva Brylyakov, Davy Pootjes and Miro Sihvonen – riding Honda CRF450RW bikes equipped with Öhlins RXF 48 S front forks and TTX Flow DV rear shocks featuring the brand’s all-new preload adjuster.

Öhlins will provide testing and race support to JWR throughout the 2022 racing calendar. JWR is headquartered in Stockholm and operates a racing workshop in Lommel, Belgium. “All of us at JWR Honda Racing are proud to be working closely with Öhlins in 2022,” said team owner Johan Westermark. “We believe Öhlins is the leader in suspension technology.
