New Öhlins^® Shock Absorbers Bring Superior On- and Off-Road Performance to Jeep Wrangler Models

(NYSE: TEN) business and one of the most respected brands in racing, rally and off-road suspension technology, has introduced a new application for the Adventure segment consisting of highly advanced front and rear shock absorbers engineered to help the owners of Jeep® Wrangler models enjoy no-compromises handling and comfort in virtually any operating environment.

The new application, available for 2018 and newer Wrangler models, features the Öhlins brand’s rally-proven PDS (Progressive Damping System) also referred to as internal hydraulic bump stop that protects against bottoming out of the suspension in extreme conditions. These shock absorbers feature Ӧhlins’ industry-leading pressure balanced setting to prevent cavitation and feature two-way adjustable damping (compression and rebound), which enables drivers to tune their suspensions to a wide range of environments, increased weight from accessories and ride/handling preferences. With all of these features tailor-made for the Jeep Wrangler, the shock absorbers provide increased comfort and contact with the driving surface, increased body control in sharp turns and create outstanding stability in the most challenging conditions – both on road and off-road. These shock absorbers are designed to be used with either 2-3” or 3.5”- 5” lift springs.

The new application features Ӧhlins front shock absorbers connected to a remote reservoir via a three-way swivel high-pressure stainless steel braided hose. The rear shock absorbers feature a piggyback style remote reservoir, internal hydraulic bump stops, an internal check valve system that separates compression and rebound adjustment and pressure balanced setting. The front and rear shock absorbers are equipped with sealed, spherical upper and lower ball joints for precise, low-friction suspension movement and body control. The products are covered by a premium, two-year limited warranty.
